A traditional Spanish-style shoe store selling mainly espadrilles and avarcas. Such a quaint little shop for a great souvenir if you’re visiting Madrid! So reasonable priced for such a durable and comfortable shoe! If you look outside the store, near the exit door, there is a plaque in the sidewalk stating that this storefront has existed there and been the same business for at least 100 years! I feel like that speak to quality.

This little zapatería is a treasure in Madrid. We went in there early in the morning and the two gentlemen tending the local were extremely friendly and helpful. We received a little background history regarding the names of the shoes and had a good laugh in the process. Prices were really accesible, so we walked out of the store with five pairs of traditional-style Spanish shoes. You guys are the reason people want to go back to Madrid. This little store focuses on traditional Spanish shoes and does it just right. The shop assistants are very friendly and knowledgeable and will happily help you choose among the many colors and models available. And yes, the bronze plaque outside means they have been in business for over a century!

Great selection! You don’t have to line up, just grab a number and wait your turn. Very patient and nice team to help you choose your perfect espadrille. Would go back for more!

My recent experience with their online customer service was utterly abysmal. I was excited to purchase a few pairs of shoes from their website, but the option to ship to my city was mysteriously missing during checkout despite their claim of offering international shipping. I reached out, in English, to inquire about shipping to my city. Their response? In Spanish, telling me others from my city have ordered without issues, essentially implying that I should figure it out on my own. Their dismissive attitude and unwillingness to assist customers is genuinely astonishing. They have shown a complete disregard for addressing my concerns and have failed to meet even the most basic expectations of customer care. Perhaps the in-store experience differs, but it is evident that they are ill-equipped to handle business with an international audience when they cannot even manage a basic query about their products and services. If you're trying to order something from them online, don’t bother.
